I Used To Smile And Then Become A Liver Brothicker
“I used to laugh and then became a Liver Brothicker, that is what I was called.” That is how you might interpret the events of April 12th. For those of you who didn’t see the unfortunate aftermath of that event there were a lot of Liver Brothers in the crowd and some people started to get upset as the Red-Handed Grinch took center stage. Yes, I did see the Grinch stomping his foot and giving the sign of his big toe. It wasn’t until I went home that I realized who all those people were.
In my youth I was known as Chuckie; I wore a ” Chuckie” shirt and a purple tie often, and I could identify with the Grinch because I used to get into fights at school with him, although most of us kids couldn’t actually fight back then. He always seemed to be the taller one in the group, and always had a mullet that went with his spiky hair. He also always had a huge bag of tricks, such as when he would wave it around and people would say, “what in tarnat?” I used to laugh and then say,”You dirty trickster, if Chuck had a dollar for every time someone told me to shut up I would be rich!”
So, here I am today. I have changed, of course, and I no longer wear a ” Chuckie” shirt. My tie is now a sash, and my hair is long, not curly, and straight. But I still love Chuck and I’ll never stop loving the Grinch, because he is my favorite villain of all time.
